NEVER QUIT!

"...look at the stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it--but all that had gone before." ~Jacob Riis

Moving up the Pyramid of Success this week, I want to give you focus on your continued journey to the summit!  The road to real achievement takes time.  It can take a long time, but you do not give up. You may have setbacks. You may have to start over. You may have to change your method. You may have to go around, or over, or under. You may have to back up and get another start. But you do not quit. You stay the course!

John Wooden reflected on his years of coaching and had this to say during one of his many interviews...  "In 1948, I began coaching basketball at UCLA. Each hour of practice we worked very hard. Each day we worked very hard. Each week we worked very hard. Each season we worked very hard. For fourteen years we worked very hard and didn't win a national championship. However, a national championship was won in the fifteenth year. Another in the sixteenth. And eight more in the following ten years."

You have to be completely determined to reach your goal!

To Your Continued Success,

  1. One of my favorite quotes! You just never know when things will take off and if you quit, you will never know. So I am hammering on :) Thanks for an excellent post.
